Deep Cleaning in Ephrata and Lancaster County

A deep clean is not a longer version of a regular clean. It is a different job. A regular clean maintains a house; a deep clean resets it — the soap scum that has bonded to the shower door, the grease film on top of the cabinets, the grout that has gone grey, the oven you have been avoiding since Thanksgiving.

We use deep cleans in three situations: as a first visit before recurring service begins, as an annual or seasonal reset, and as a one-off rescue for a home that has got away from someone — after an illness, a new baby, or a stretch of long working hours. There is no judgement involved in any of them.

What a deep clean includes, over and above a standard visit

  • Bathrooms — grout scrubbed, hard water and limescale removed from glass, tile and fixtures, shower door treated, drains cleared of visible buildup
  • Kitchen — inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, degreasing of the range hood, cabinet fronts and tops, backsplash
  • Throughout — baseboards, door frames, window sills and tracks, light fixtures and ceiling fans, vents and returns, switch plates
  • Detail work — behind and underneath movable furniture and appliances, radiators, stair spindles, interior windows

Commonly added to a deep clean

  • Upholstery and furniture cleaning
  • Rug cleaning
  • Interior window cleaning throughout
  • Basement or garage
  • Home organizing — cabinets, closets, pantry

How long it takes

A deep clean takes considerably longer than a regular visit — commonly four to eight hours depending on the size and condition of the home, and sometimes more where there is heavy buildup. We would rather quote honestly and finish the job than promise three hours and rush it. Larger homes may be scheduled across two days.

What it costs

Deep cleans are priced per job rather than per hour, so you know the figure before we start. Price is driven by square footage, the number of bathrooms, and how much buildup there is. The fairest way to get an accurate number is a short conversation and a few photos of the kitchen and bathrooms — send them through and we will quote from those.

Frequently asked questions

Is a deep clean worth it if I already clean regularly?

Usually yes, once a year. Even a well-kept home accumulates buildup in places routine cleaning does not reach — grout, extractor filters, window tracks, the tops of cabinets, behind appliances.

Do I need a deep clean before starting recurring service?

Not always, but often. If the home has been maintained, we can usually start straight into a standard clean. If not, one deep clean first means every visit afterwards is quicker and cheaper.

Will you get rid of hard water stains on my shower glass?

In most cases, substantially. Lancaster County water is hard, and long-standing mineral deposits can etch glass permanently — where that has happened no amount of cleaning will restore it, and we will tell you rather than keep scrubbing.

Can you do just the kitchen and bathrooms?

Yes. A partial deep clean focused on the two rooms that need it most is a common and sensible booking.

What it costs

Starting prices for a small home. The final figure depends on size, the number of bathrooms and condition — and you get a fixed quote before anything is booked.
